Their rivals Liverpool currently sit one point ahead at the top of the league and could lose out their spot as they do not play until Sunday.

City’s one loss in their last nine league games has helped their Merseyside rivals surpass them on the table and a single mistake by either team in the remaining games is bound to be their downfall this season.

Guardiola has insisted that he is focused on City’s clash with Bournemouth and refuses to talk about the big picture.
